Who I am
Professional Experience & Academic Leadership
Throughout his academic career, Mr. Avinash Vitthalrao Aneraye has actively contributed to higher education, teacher training, disability rehabilitation, and inclusive education initiatives. He has served as an Assistant Professor in various institutions across India and has gained extensive experience in teaching, curriculum development, educational research, orientation and mobility training, individualized education planning (IEP), and disability support services. As an Academic Counselor with IGNOU and a Mentor under the National Mission for Mentoring (NMM), Ministry of Education, Government of India, he supports teacher professional development and learner success through guidance, mentoring, and academic leadership.
Research and Publications
Mr. Aneraye has made significant scholarly contributions to the fields of Special Education, Inclusive Education, Disability Studies, and Educational Policy. His research has been published in numerous peer-reviewed national and international journals, covering topics such as disability legislation, visual impairment, orientation and mobility training, inclusive classrooms, assistive technology, educational policy, and teacher education. His publications reflect a strong commitment to evidence-based practices and educational reforms that improve the lives of individuals with disabilities and promote equitable access to quality education.
Editorial, Reviewing, and Professional Service
In addition to his teaching and research responsibilities, he actively contributes to the academic community as a reviewer and editorial board member for several reputed journals. His involvement in peer review supports the advancement of high-quality educational and interdisciplinary research. He is also a member of various national and international professional organizations, including the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI), Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE), American Psychological Association (APA), and other academic and research bodies.
Training, Workshops, and Capacity Building
Mr. Aneraye regularly participates in and contributes to professional development programs, conferences, workshops, and webinars focused on inclusive education, disability rights, educational technology, and teacher preparation. He has served as a Resource Person in several Continuing Rehabilitation Education (CRE) programs, delivering expert sessions on visual impairment, classroom management, orientation and mobility, tactile learning materials, and government schemes for persons with disabilities.

His professional mission is to promote inclusive, equitable, and accessible education by integrating innovative teaching strategies, assistive technologies, and evidence-based practices. He believes that every learner, regardless of ability, deserves equal opportunities to achieve academic success and social participation. Through teaching, research, mentoring, and advocacy, he continues to work toward building an inclusive society that values diversity and empowers individuals with disabilities.
